Hello. My name is Justin Ortiz. I am a freelance writer. “Writer“, in that I overthink things and then write them down so that others can enjoy my anxiety, and “freelance“, meaning I don’t get paid most of the time.
I have a passion for creative, gonzo writing, mixed with surrealism and pessimistic themes. The creative side of my writing is more of a hobby than any sort of ‘career’.
My main ‘professional‘ focus for the last decade or so has been within the video game industry. I approach my reviews and articles with a deep respect for games as a form of art and creative expression. I’ve worked with many developers, publishers, and PR firms over the past decade, and it’s been a fantastic experience.
